How many characters can I include in an SMS message?
When sending SMS messages through our Email to Text (E2T) service, it's important to keep in mind that the telecom operators split messages into parts and charge for each part separately. One SMS part can contain up to 303 characters. We provide a Characters Count Tool on our website for your convenience, to check how many characters your message has.
The maximum length for an SMS message is 909 characters, or 3 parts. If your message exceeds this limit, it will be cropped.
It's also important to note that sending one message to 10 recipients is the equivalent of sending 10 individual messages.
For your convenience, replies are currently free as long as you adhere to our fair usage policy. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.
Example:
For example, let's say you're a small business owner and you want to send a message to your customers about a sale. You use our character count tool to ensure that your message is within the character limit, and then send it to your customers. Your customers are able to receive it in full, without any issues.
Keep in mind that using simple and clear language and keeping your messages short and to the point can help ensure that your message is within the character limit and easy for your customers to understand. Additionally, using our character count tool can also help you optimize your message for SMS and ensure that it is not cropped or split into multiple parts.
As a best practice, we recommend that you test your messages before sending them to a larger group of recipients to ensure that they are within the character limit and that they are being delivered as intended. If you have any issues or concerns, our support team is always available to help you troubleshoot and resolve them.
